This sandwich is inspired by one of my favorite snacks: jalapeno poppers! Cooking with Chef Eli

Cordelia’s Table staff member Chef Elijah Townsend created some wonderful foods for an audience here at Miss Cordelia’s Tuesday July 17th.  Elijah made fish tacos, black bean and corn cakes and a delicious salsa. Chef Elijah Townsend credits his mother and father, both foodies and cooks, for his love of delightful cuisine. Inspired, he began experimenting with his natural culinary skills at age eight! A native to the Mid-south, Elijah graduated from Frayser High School and attended culinary school at the Art Institute of Nashville and L’ecole Culinaire. Elijah has served as both Sous and Executive Chef for organizations such as Safari, The Crowne Plaza and Canal Bar.
